The CNC 4x4 club is headed back to Carolina Beach (Freeman Park at the “north end”) for our 10th annual Beach Bash the weekend of September 11-13!
Details at http://www.cnc4x4.org/beachbash.asp.
Our official meet and greet time is 12:00 noon on Sat. the 12th, and anybody who would like meet some of the club members is welcome to stop by, hang out, etc. Just look for the CNC 4x4 club banner (bright orange) and a collection of Jeeps, trucks, tents, etc.
Hope to see you on the sand!

see you then

If you can't make it up to URE that weekend, these guys are a great group to hang with.
Sounds like some relaxing fun at the beach!

Man you guys make it tempting cause you are a lot closer. But my Jeep is down for the count unless I can fix the frame my first week back. I have a lot of work to do though. I could drive the Excursion though. Hmm I hope I can get my Junk fixed.

do you know if there anywhere to park a tow rig/trailer overnight?

Well, first you have to remember that only licensed vehicles, insured, and inspected are allowed in Freeman Park. Aside from that, there are very limited places to park at all, much less a trailer overnight in close proximity to the entrance to the park.

There are shopping centers, etc. nearby that may cater to the RV crowd, and which might allow such, but you'd have to inquire on your own.

This has been a limiting factor for some of the CNC folks over the years, but we've come to see this as a day or two on the beach to relax and enjoy activities other than trail riding.

Hope to see you on the sand!

I am a fairly new member here with my 97 TJ, and would like to come by and say hi. Me and 3 other jeeps are headed down there on friday night till sunday afternoon. Kaarel

Anybody going out Friday afternoon or so? Ive got a wedding to attend in VA on Saturday so and Im gonna miss this the majority of this event. I just picked up my 92 Wrangler (V8 powered :bounce2:) last night and Im looking forward to meeting some of you.

Several folks coming in on Fri. to camp on the beach, but times could vary. Not sure if the big sign will be up on Fri. either, but one vehicle will be a black hummer and other likely a large black 4-door diesel Ford tow rig. One I'm sure would have an CNC-4x4 antenna flag.

Love to see a V8 crammed into a Wranger - and hear the sound!
