That would so take Aclass to the next level!!!!!Sweet truck man!
I have been looking at those, but hard to play with them on the East Coast.
That would so take Aclass to the next level!!!!!
If you run it I will talk/bribe Rob into getting you in A class just to see it run!!!!Rob said I have to run Class B.
sent from ...... I don't know where I am.
Rules Say:
Rule # 6: Disabling of electric, cable, or air lockers to act as an "open" differential is allowed. Disabled lockers shall remain disabled before, during, and after the event a minimum of 120 minutes. Failure to maintain disabled lockers within these 120 minutes may be cause for disqualification.
Rule # 10. Vehicles are not allowed upgrades that include vehicle supporting tunable shocks (air shocks, coilovers, struts, etc.) in place of torsion bars, leaf springs, coil springs, etc. unless this item was factory installed for the vehicle make and model.
Mike is an awesome tuner. I had a JDM tune at first and was disappointed with it and their customer service. How you liking your troyer tune? He is the man for modular Ford trucks I had one of his tunes on my old truck and it really woke it up.
I'm rather upset I haven't been able to take it off road more then I have.Nice to see one that actually gets dirty.
It's Rob series. I believe its a fair decision on his part. Between off-road mode, hill decent control, suspension travel. It's not fair to everyone else. All I ask is that I get treated the same as Power Wagons, Rubicons, and H1 Hummers. If you run it I will talk/bribe Rob into getting you in A class just to see it run!!!!
I'm not changing tires it will cause my truck to freak out and disable 4x4 and off-road mode and put the truck in limp mode. A little over 8K Raptor were produced in 2010.The only conflict I see for keeping him out of A class is the truck comes with 315/70/17's which are roughly 35's, aswell as an E locker in the rear. So if he disengaged the E locker or switched to some 33's, he could run in A class.
Leaf Sprung rear, coilovers in the front. (Factory Type Suspension)
Locker in the Rear
315/70/17's (35 roughly)
Over 1000 Produced (5-6k I believe produced)
The same guy had his wife's FJ with 33s and a Truxxs leveling kit on there also and it scored 558 with swaybar and 589 without swaybarWell photos are a little weak but they will work.
First trip up the ramp with the sway bar connected netted a 684 for the score (91-inches up the ramp / 133-inch wheelbase X 1000 = 684.21)
Second trip up the ramp with the sway bar disconnected netted a 722 for the score (96-inches up the ramp / 133-inch wheelbase X 1000 = 721.80)
Disconnecting the sway bar only netted me 5 more inches. Don't know if it was even worth the 5 mins of work to disconnect. The 37-inch BFG KM2's didn't even factor into the picture as a hindrance on the ramp.

SCORE decided that the Raptor was to much for the production class in the Baja 1000 and thats how the Raptor R came about because they were running an unlimited production class. I'm going to run Class B. It means I can have more suspension travel, a front locker, and better tires which is all things I plan on doing to my truck anyways. Then disengage the rear e locker and you are eligable for A class as best I can tell... Unless someone else see's any rules I am missing?
I would love to see ya run in whichever class you choose.
As many as my little budget will let me.Hell yeah boss, which race are you planning on running? I think the Spartanburg race would be a good race for you from what I hear it will be pretty open.
As many as my little budget will let me.
I don't see much changing on my truck from now till then but Raptors are pretty ready to go from the factory.Well the next race is in Spartanburg July 9th so if you can have her ready to go in time that would be great.
Ill be there volunteering probably anyway.
Holy sheit man, your serious.
I just wanna see it hit the jump at the flats next weekend.
Raptors have a habit of losing there tailgates when jumped to hard.Wow, I will be at them to see what starts falling off first.
LOL ThanksHaha well if it drops nearby wherever I am volunteering, Ill grab it and put it to the side for ya so you can keep rocking
Scott, thats cool, I know Chris is going so the more the merrier!!
My truck makes about 300hp to the wheels. Mike tuned it in 3rd gear because there 6 speed auto won't let you select 4th gear which is closer to 1:1. These trucks lose so much power in drivetrain loss its kind of ridiculous. What does the truck make to the ground & I see your going to be at The Flats open invite, can't wait to see hear this truck in action. You aren't kidding about Mike being an awesome tuner I was going to go with the Edge but everyone on F150online.com convinced me to go with Troyer tunes.
