Working on my brother's 2012 Grand Cherokee 3.6L. It was throwing a P0058 O2 sensor code and a P0113 IAT code. It was at the age where the O2 sensors were probably older anyway so I went ahead and replaced the rear pair and cleared the codes, but the code came back before it was even fired up. I checked wiring, seems all good. IAT sensor code went away after replacing but it immediately came back after starting.
A mechanic told him it might be PCM but they also told him it was overheating because it needed a new engine and it was just a bad water pump. Now I'm wondering if maybe it does need a PCM since it is throwing random circuit codes. What does everyone think?
