Ok, I've lifted a ton of torsion bar Chevy trucks, but haven't touched one in years. My good buddy's wife messaged me to help her pick a 3.5-4c lift and see if I'd help him install. No problem there. Plans to buy for their anniversary.

I looked up a few and the install seems pretty straightforward since they have struts and use spacers for the lift. I see some cheap kits that are just spacers for the front with no socks, knuckles, or control arms. What all is truly needed?

When I lifted my wife’s 2018 Silverado I went with the 6” BDS kit. I ended up going with that after reading something somewhere about it maintaining very close to factory roll over ratings. Had it been my truck and not hers I would have probably bought something cheaper. But I love how it rides. Getting a kit with replacement knuckles definitely seems like the best way to go. Replacement knuckles with stock control arms will retain close to factory angles on the control arms.
