Rollin in Saturday morning w/ the new-to-me Gremlin & my oldest. Planning on riding for a few hours, packing up & heading home to warsh mi arse & drive all the way back out to the other side of the lake for a work Christmas party. Nevertheless, we'll try to dump the Gremlin again & make it a good day! May even let the boy drive her some so he can catch the wheelin bug and carry this stupid hobby of ours onward & upward

So 2 serious questions:
1. Does anyone have one of those giant event tents? If so, can you bring it? Some lights and heaters would be pretty sweet in that.
2. Who is bringing firewood? I think we’re good need ALOT!

I'm almost out myself so I can't, but I hear rumors of a guy in Albemarle selling some...$60/truck & $80/trailer. I haven't confirmed prices myself, but at the rate I'm going through it to keep the water stove fed I might be finding out before spring!

I'm bringing some firewood. Not a ton, but any will help. We're gonna need a big fire this time.

Not freezing my balls off this year lol.

I will be bringing some firewood. I can probably bring half a bed's worth and still have room for gear? @jeepinmatt can attest to the quality of my wood :D
Pretty impressive wood of the highest quality, I must say. Glad I was able to loan some of my equipment so you could get it back down to a manageable size that your wife could handle. My wife also gets aggravated when it's so big she has to use 2 hands just to line it up with the opening and feed the fire inside.

I have a 10x20 tent and a patio heater I will bring. Also have some fire wood. It not a ton but I’ll bring what I have.

Last year I showed up at the campsite, assembled a group of people that were ready to make life choices, then towed my junk to the trailhead. Worked well.
This is my plan unless someone says a time to meet at the trail head.

Fail to plan, plan to fail.

With that said, I've never ruined plans I didn't make :D

I'm in the same boat but mines a bit too loud to hide it in a group

Sure would help if there was a time to meet at the trailhead Saturday :driver:
I got three tickets, over $300 worth for driving the samurai on the service road. So I just trailer mine now

Well with that luck remind me NOT to be around you lol
Do not stop in the parking lot. Continue straight onto the trail without stopping. Getting out to lock the hubs is what got me.

Show up to camp and mingle with people until a group is ready to go ride. Folks will be more than happy to follow you to the trailhead and wait 10 minutes for you to unload your rig. Nothing happens quickly or on any sort of schedule at this event. There is far more standing around in a circle bullspitting than there is riding.
