My Yellow Top Optima in my 4.0 TJ with a July 2014 sticker is weak to start and very weak with my Warn winch.
I want to replace it.
What’s the recommended battery these days?

Title clearly says 2025, not 2017 lol 😂
I generally do not follow directions 🤷🏿‍♂️ hence why my Mac and cheese can't be replicated (that, and my memory is the second shortest thing on me) so I can't remember how I did it the time before

I buy blem batteries from local battery store. We have two near statesville. 6 month guarantee but it only cost $60. Last ones lasted 4 years.

What stores? I'll go to statesville for that kind of deal!

Rural King AGMs are $170 and are made by Exide I believe. And now there’s a Rural King in Conover.

They are super competitive on regular batteries too

The Interstate battery here sells blems for around 50, I have had hit or miss luck with them. I finally quit buying them.

Everything i have now has a Walmart or Rural King battery in it. Some of them are 2-3 years old at least and so far so good.

I bought a battery the other day from Amazon. It's an AGM, time will tell if it's worth a hoot, but no core, and the convenience of having it come to the door step was nice.

Weize Platinum AGM Battery BCI Group 94R - 12v 80ah H7 Size 94R Automotive Battery, 140RC, 850CCA, 36 Months Warranty https://a.co/d/gEZtLnh

I run duracells from Sam's in almost everything, they have been reliable whether the vehicle gets driven daily or quarterly.

Got an Advance Auto AGM in the buggy. Typically there is an Advance somewhat close to the wheeling spots, so not a big hassle to exchange if it dies under warranty.

Otherwise I've had good luck with Interstate batteries in all my other vehicles.
