Anyone having any luck finding any? Every walmart I go to..I miss the shelves being full by a day. I know gander usually gets in but guy said there are guys that wait outside before they open and it's gone in no time.
Just got a new .22 today and my father in law had a box that he gave me, BUT I NEED MORE!!!!
 
That's about what your going to have to do. I'm working in Tennessee we had down time cause of weather so we were checking out local
Gun stores. Walked in on guy said it was getting unloaded off the truck..... We bought it all 20 guys 200 rounds a piece said he had been waiting a month for that shipment. That said he said ammo of all kinds was starting to become easier to find.
 
I'm gonna just keep checking walmart and gander. Maybe I'll be one of those who waits outside to get some. Guy my dad knows says he will sell me a brick of .22 for $20
 
22 WMR is even harder to find locally .

armslist.com. Go to NC and theres tons of ammo for sale. Its like craigslist but for guns and ammo. Some people still try to gouge but there are deals if you look around.
 
You can buy 2 boxes of .22 per visit per day at academy sports in concord but when I went earlier today all they had was 50 round boxes of CCI Stingers for $5.99 a box. They got their shelves loaded with bullets right now and the .22s are the only ones that has a quantity restriction on them.
 
Went to Colfax gun and ammo yesterday and they had the last 2 boxes sitting out, so I grabbed those. Then my dad bought 500 rounds from a guy at his church and gave them to me. So I have a good start....still want another 1000 or so.

They say when more will be in? I was going to get some to shoot this weekend from them. Guess not. I was gonna try carving a pumpkin, haha.

Wife was sweet enough this morning to head up to gander mnt and they had some .22 in. She got me a box of 375 rnd CCI AR-tactical .22LR...Wife didn't know what all to get and all the differences, Im hoping this ammo will shoot ok in my 22/45 lite......
 
I have only brought online for a while now. I got feed up with my local shop marking up prices on ammo they already had in stock.
I buy 8mm Mauser...not many people do. My local shop stocked a couple boxes which I liked...two boxes in stock I brought one. Two weeks later the other box was still there only 5 dollars higher.

Better selection and prices online.

You and 1000 others doing the same thing, this is why the shelves are empty...
 
I can see having 10,000 rounds on hand just so you can go to a range and shoot 500 rounds and it not put a dent in your stash, but for stashing it for doomsday? dont think this will happen in our lifetime. it could, but I don't think it will. Plus, if it were me, Id rather stash 9mm ammo, .223, .556, grenades, food, water, medical supplies, stuff like that if I was doomsday prepping.
I just want alot of ammo so I can go shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot some more.

although it is a rush when you find it and buy it.
 
.22 is nearly the prefect round for surviving. I have taken Mule deer in Montana with .22 auto. Dropped him in 3 rounds. he went no more than 15 yards. Light to carry, good at a distance. Doesn't tear up small game to much.
For personal defense yea, a larger caliper round.

10,000 rounds will go bad from sitting before you could use it all up in a survival scenario though...


I can only say, sheeple will always follow the crowd..
