I've searched a bit and found NOTHING of the sort I'm looking for.

I recently fried the transformer on my little lincoln 175 mig. Lincoln was great about it, by the way and it was warrantied with no problem.

I've welded probably 30-40 hours total with it and no problem before but I can't help but wonder if there was a problem with the power in the shop. I'd like to find something like a surge protector or power conditioner that's for 220 and has plugs of the 50 amp variety (not dryer style). Tripp-lite makes one that has 115v shaped receptacles for 220 and also one with european shaped receptacles for 220 but nothing that looks like what I want.

Anyone have any clue if such a thing exists? I find it hard to believe it wouldn't, but what do I know?

Get one that is 220 and the amps you need. Then go to home depot and buy 1.5' of wire and a male and female ends. Make an adaptor.

Yeah, I had been thinking that but since I'm charging it to the company I was trying to find a standalone solution. Thanks for the suggestion tho, that may end up being what I do.
