It runs fine, then randomly spits and trys to cut out. RPMs dont seem to matter. It does it at idle and high rpm. Propane tank is full, so its not that. I am thinking electrical problem at the moment.

It ran fine for several hours last weekend and just started doing this the other day. I havent touched the wiring or fuel system since last weekend.

Timing? Is your water hoses on a Y or do they run directly through the converter so the water is always circulating through it?

I assume you mean the propane converter? I didnt set this system up, it was already on there when I bought the truck so I never paid much attention to how it was hosed up. There isnt a cooling hose connected to the propane converter at all. There is a port that is plugged, but I dont know why. The coolant hose that is tapped off the suction side of the water pump goes into the intake manifold. Does that answer your question?

Is it possible that the motor is getting liquid propane? The other night I noticed that the converter looked very frosty.

I don't see how it ever ran fore more than a few minutes before freezing the converter up. Did you notice ice on the converter when it stopped running?

It never really stops running. It just sputters bad and then goes back to running normal. I did notice that the converter was frosted up the other night when I first noticed the problem. It has never done it before, probably because I have never run it much when it is this cold.

The converter can freeze up when it's 90 degrees outside. Take some pics of your setup

Heres what I am working with. I think that looped hose is supposed to be the coolant in and out?

Glad you got it fixed

Thanks!

Now for my next fix...Anyone know what size socket I need for that huge bolt on the transfer-case crossmember mount? Mine is backing out. I guess it's time for some locktite. :shaking:

1-3/16" or 30mm socket I'm pretty sure

OOps thats the flange nut
