So I have just about completed the latest set of mods on my samurai.

After getting everything else in place, I realized I am not going to have room for two propane tanks (without potential damage in a roll). I really don't like the idea of running just one tank, but right now it looks like I am going to have to.

For the guys that are running propane, how long are you able to run on one standard forklift tank?

All day and part into the night. Get an adapter that hooks up to a small green propane bottle and stash under a seat as an emg. way to get back to a bottle. pm mpistolpj at mandm offroad, thats who we got our adapters from.

Other options may also be, using the bigger 10 gallon tank. Not too easy to find though. OR you could use one regular tank and one buffer tank, or two buffer tanks. The buffer tank is about the same size as a BBG tank. You could also use a BBQ tank with the right adapter( can be had at sLowes) except you have to turn it upside down to run it.

Thanks guys. I had been thinking about the small green propane bottle (like coleman stoves use) but didn't know anybody had adapters for them.

I know they make smaller tanks (like buffers use), but most of them are designed to run vertical.
