Got back to working on my 4runner today. To make long story short I got it with blown engine. Swapped in used engine couldn't get spark found out coil was bad.

Did gm coil & igntion module swap. It now runs. But the tach isn't working. I got 12v hot for coil from factory plug for coil. Do I need to run a wire to something else for tach signal? If so how do I find where to put it?

Not sure if tach in cluster even works. Is there a way to check it?

Thanks for the help. Trying to get it on the road soon.

OK but is there a way to tell where to hook that wire up to get signal to the tach. I assume it got it from the plug originally right?
