Pulled the body lift on my truck and i think i know the problem but the way it started i'm confused. My truck has a drivetrain lift and exhaust runs really high also. I pulled the bodylift and drove the truck down the street and noticed some exhaust issues so i jacked up one side and pulled out a heat shield and that seemed to fix the problem. Went to test drive it and made it about half a mile and stopped at the stop sign and when i went to take off it bogged down and died. Repeated this 4 times and then pushed it out of the street. Truck would start for 2 seconds or so and shut off. After a few attempts it finally wouldn't start. Its really dark out and my truck is half mile away. I Checked fuel lines and all appear in good condition. I did notice that my oxygen sensor wires were pushed into the body pretty good and i think this is a good portion of my problem. My EFI fuse i think it is is popping and i'd say its from grounding out. If this is the case why did it do the run die deal over and over if its grounding out and blowing the fuse?

thanks in advance.

Electronic controlled engines can do all kinds of funky stuff I would say go ahead and fix the problem with the O2 sensor wires and see if it fixes the problem. If it doesn't you have atleast eliminated a "maybe" and while your in there you may notice what's really going on.

lifted the body up and it was rubbing but i see no damage. Pulled wires off body and keeps poping the #1 fuse as soon as you turn the key to start. I checked over the whole truck and i can't find anything visable that is broken or rubbing on anything. I'm lost.

did you get all the grounds put back?
battery to block-block to frame-frame to body.
they all have to be in place or crazy shit happens.
maybe when you removed the lift something got
misplaced.

okay i got the fuse to stop blowing. Pulled the tank and tested the pump. Pump works correctly. My 02 wires are the culprit i think though still. There are some pinched wires but not touching anything. I'm plugging one thing in at a time. Currently the 02 is unplugged and laid out in the cab with wires pulled apart as to not touch each other. About to install the tank to see if it will start.

Good news! Got it running again. Pulled the tank (AGAIN), didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Applied power directly to pump from the 4wheeler battery and it came on. Plugged the pump back up to the wiring with no tank and it turned on again. So i thought it was the 02 again. While starting to install the tank again i noticed a white spot on a piece of the pump. Looked at the wire near it and noticed it was the slightest bit bare. Upon further inspection of the wiring of the pump it was brittle and extremely thin in many places. I insulated the piece of wiring so it couldn't touch metal. Installed the tank and it fired right up. Its a relief knowing the daily is operational again. And the truck feels awesome with no gay ass bodylift.
