22RE oil leak

I ahve a oil leak at the back of my engine above the tanny, it a square box ,do any of you know whats thats call or how to fix it thanks

The only square thing that I remember back there is the EGR plate, unless its leaking from a half moon or head gasket

that square box has a black hose going to it ,but it may be coming from V C thanks I will check again

I would bet that it is one of the half moon seals. Pull the valve cover and replace the half moons and VC oring.

X2 just make sure to hold the rear one in. I've had them push out while puttin the vc back on.

That black box I think you're referring to is a coolant bypass (circled in red) but the half-moon plug is right above it and may make it look like its leaking.

^^ thats my money too. Notorious for leaking.

While you have the cover off, check the valve lash to make it worth your while ;-)
