Rock Corps 4X4 2nd annual benefit ride
For the second year we at Rock Corps 4X4 are going to be having a benefit ride. Well, it's gonna be several things rolled into one. We have listened to the masses, and have come up with a full weekend of fun and more fun.
The dates will be June 24th, 25th, and 26th.
Within these dates there will be open riding. A swap meet, competitive games, and competitive challenges. Itinerary may change a bit, but as of now, here is what is planned.
Friday the 24th.
Arrive, camp, and ride.
Saturday the 25th
This will be a very busy day, so eat your Wheaties!
Beginning early we will do a swap meet. Bring all your parts, and stuff you want to get rid of, and set up to sell. This will probably last till 12:00 noontime or so.
Games
Last year at our benefit ride we did some games. Included was a barrel race, RTI ramp competition, Blind mans drive and a trail ready competition. For sure we will have the Blind mans drive. That particular game was the biggest thing that was talked about and commented on still today. I have also been threatened with bodily harm if we don't have the barrel race. Another idea that has been brought up is a power wheels race. I have seen video's of this from other events and let me tell you, it is very entertaining to say the least. More details as the time approaches. So hit the flea markets and yard sales and find yourself a racer. Oh and it doesn't have to be running, the engines will be gravity! Yet another idea is some what of a mini Rubicon. This will be a timed event, maybe two classes, and will most likely be held in the play ground area. We may also do the bounty hill thing again. We may also do two of them, one for the smaller built rigs. Details will come later on all of this.
Oh and let's not forget the ever loved Raffle!
So all of you Vendors let's hear about those donations of your wares and services! I will keep an updated list of all things donated!
Sunday the 26th
Open ride for everyone who wants to stick around for even more fun!
Now to answer a few questions
Price?

Camp Fires
Yes, All we ask is that all fires have a fire ring. If you "borrow" our rocks, please put them back where you get them. We also ask that all fires be out before you leave. We can offer up some firewood, but to be safe, you might want to bring some in with you.
Alcohol and drinking
Is NOT permitted. Not before you get there, not while you are there. Please just don't bring it!
Fourwheelers and Motor Cycles
Only club members of Rock Corps will be allowed to have fourwheelers there. No one can ride motorcycles
We do have a few friends with disability's and have in the past have had requests to bring a golf cart, or four wheeler. That will still be permitted with prior approval.
Vendors
If you want to set up a place to pedal your wares, this will be defiantly appreciated. Please contact me to plan this.
Facility's
We will have port a pottys. But that's it. Generators are welcomed if you are a pansy like me and need AC LOL No running water, so bring what you'll need!
RV's
Plenty of room, so if you have one, feel free to bring it.
Clubs
If your club wants to set up a place to show who you are and what you are about, yes, please do! I also ask that if your club has t-shirts, please wear your colors! Let everyone know who you belong to! Contact me about setting up.
Volunteers
YES! As many RC members as there are, it may be difficult to man everything that needs people to help with. So if you are offering, we will likely be needing. Contact me to volunteer, just let me know when and how long you will be available.
Food
Tentatively we are hoping to have The Hot Dog Guy there. This has NOT yet been set in stone, but as soon as I get with Terry, I will let you know
So put this on your calender, get your stuff ready, and plan to be there to enjoy it all! As said, this will be a busy weekend! We want to gear it so EVERYONE will have fun.
We have at this time, two potential recipients of the benefit. Those names will be posted at a later date. Thanks in advance to everyone who will make this a success. I have been associated with several different types of groups in my lifetime, but never with a group such as the wheelin crowd!
