Where are they?
I guess with gas prices everyone is holding on to them...
Or they have been shipped to MX...
I need to go there and swap my F150 for a 2wd truck...

I don't think even the smaller 4 cyld. trucks get good MPG's. I haven't seen any get over 20. Small cars seem to be the way to go if you want to save gas. Just depends on what you intend to use it for.

LOL...
5 cyl...will you throw in the 6th for free...even if it isn't firing?

5 cyl is common in diesel

and my neighbor (claims to) consistently gets 25 mpg on his little 2wd Ranger

pull a boat short distance occasionally and keep miles off of my CR-V

Chuckwhut typically rattles my cage sometimes...so...either he is serious and has a 5 cyl...or he doesn't...we'll see.

I learned to drive on a 5 cyl station wagon. 30 mpg at 275,000 miles. Don't knock it.

well they did put them in the chevy colorodo

I absolutely love driving my 1993 Nissan X-Cab 5spd 4cyl (bought new in 93) now... And to think I almost sold it a few months ago... That beauty just rolled over 200k and we've never replaced a single part on it (knock on wood) except routine stuff... still gets 25mpg.

I actually think it's started to appreciate in value....

it is an 06 colorado with 11xxx miles. inline 5 cylinder.

I'll trade you for an '88 XJ
Trail ready and proven!
"custon paint job"

2wd trk

ive got a 2wd toyota that is 22re and it gets around 28-30 miles to the gallon ill sell it i bought to drive back and forwards to work but ive got a new job and a service trk so its just a spare now just let me know justin

I have an 03 Ranger Egde, standard cab.

It gets about 20 in the city maybe a touch less depending on how im driving.

On the highways I can get 27-28mpg. When i was PCS'ing across texas i had all my junk in the back and i still got 27.

I'll sell it to someone for prob too much, but it is very well taken care of.

Andrew, if this vehcile you are looking for really is just for occasional use, pulling a boat, then you are asting your time trying to find some thing fuel efficient. The extra time and $$ spent finding it will not be paid off in any kind of savings unless you plan to drive this a lot. Plus any small engine vehicle will get worse mileage when pulling that boat.

big thing is I would drive it to haul the kids and i need about 23mpg...so I can keep mileage off of the family car (1999 CR-V)

a 2wd reg or extended cab would do the trick.
