I cant believe my lawnmower battery is going on it's 4th year. I filled the cells, hit it with 10 amps for 30 minutes and TaaaaDaaaah! It is a motorcycle battery, but i have those in jetskis, and they crap out every year. I dunno? I must be living right.:D

I bought my riding lawn mower used in the fall of 2005. It is still on the same battery! I am very surprised.

Maybe the jetskis bang them around so much? Then again, you crank a jetski a lot more than a lawnmower... I dunno. Just glad to be up and mowing with a oil change, fresh fuel filter, and no other work. Got to love Stabil, it works.

I went ahead and gave the honda generator a crank while I was working on stuff this morning. It hit on the second crank, just as soon as it got gas. Been a good small engine day! I am about to grab the weedeater after breakfast, I am on a roll!:burnout:

I thought I had a weak battery on my mower for several years. I would have to bump the starter to get it to turn over even after charging it fully. Last summer it stumbled and almost died while mowing and began to run rough w a slight miss at wot. Turns out the rocker bolt on the intake valve on one of the twin 24hps cylinders had no locktight from the factory! and got so loose the pushrod had fallen out and was laying in the head! After reinstalling the rockerbolt (w locktight) it now cranks easily and runs a whole lot stronger. I had evedently been running it for years w a valve that wasn't opening enough because of the loose rockerbolt!! I'm suprised there doesn't seem to be any damage so far.

Well that will end your stroke of good luck! J/K Hope it all works out for you!
