I know this has been worn out on the forums, but I'm still a bit confused. I have an '80 304 with stock ignition that i was thinking of upgrading. I hear you can get great performance gains, but not sure which way to go. What is the advantages/disadvantes of going with either the HEI distributor or the "teamrush" with '79 ford parts and upgrading coil and ignition module? I've heard good things about each, but not sure which is the best bang for the buck. Thanks for your help

How long have you had it? Did you tell a big difference? Any problems?

go msd!

I had a 360 that I ran all msd stuff on.... Dist. Coil. Ign box 6a...
It made a huge difference! Yes that shit is expensive...but u will
Get what u pay for....

i had an HEI in my 258 and i loved it.... one got one hot wire that runs it versus your coil wires (which can go bad )that go to the ignition box (that could go bad) just TOO many wires and i hate electrical mess..... the HEI make it all way much easier

I change out the factory distributor and other ignition stuff and replaced them with a HEI from 4 Wheel Drive Hardware. One wire hook-up. Big difference in power.

don't buy the hype. I've run MSD and I've run cobbled together HEI/TFI hybrid. Hands down I'll take the cobbled together HEI/TFI set up.

sweet, thanks guys, on jeep forum, seemed that everyone didn't like the HEI and loved the teamrush deal, seems like both work, think i will go with HEI, thanks again guys
