Ill have my 1990 xj regeared to 4.56 soon and was planning on getting 33 inch tires. Its lifted 4.5 inches and i was curious to see how much more i would need to lift it to run 35s. I have 2 inch shackles and pucks to put under there so i would be around 6.5 inches of lift but im just worried about having the clearance inside my fenders to turn them all the way. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated. Thx
P.s. If anyone else is running 35s or 33s please post some pix.

I'd stick with 33's...even with those your gonna run into some major rubbing issues most likely...ive got a friend with about 6.5 inches on an XJ and he had to do alot to get them to fit good...I'd go with 33's

I'm the friend he is speaking of and I did have to trim my fenders pretty good with my 6.5" lift and 33's to be able to wheel without a front swaybar. But I do not rub any now. Personally if I were you I'd keep the 4.5" lift and just run bump stops and trim your fenders and the 33's. It'll keep you lower and more stable.
Here is a picture of my Jeep with the 6.5" lift and the 33's from last year.

6.5 on 35s, my fenders are trimmed pretty well. I need to do some bump stops and i will be fine, It can be done fairly easy its just about trimming enough and bumpstopping correctly
