You can skip the wheel spacer.
I run 12.50s on my XJ and they don't rub with a good 15x8 around 3.5" backspacing if iirc
Get some soft 8s from summit or somewhere like that. Something like $40 a piece, get the backspacing right and trim the hell outta that XJ.
