I picked up a set of (4) 33x14.50 SSR's for next to nothing and I'm wanting to put them on my XJ. I hope this thread doesn't turn bad like my last one. My question is...can I run these tires on 15x7 wheels? There's a guy running the same tires on NAGCA with stock Jeep 15x7 wheels The sway bar has been removed in the rear, fenders trimmed blah blah blah. Will they be okay to run on 15x7's if I keep the tire pressure down around 20-25? Thanks for the help! :driver:

Yes, you can get them on, but you will need wheel spacers. Order a set of 8 or 10" wide wheels with 4" backspace for $200 and be done with it.

Ok I have another question. I found an even better deal on some 35's sooooooooooooooooo......hoow hard would it be to make 35's fit on my Jeep? It's an '88 Cherokee Pioneer. It's my trail rig. All doors have been removed. Front fenders are completely off the Jeep and I did the cut-n-fold in the rear and went about as far as you can go. The Jeep has a 2" lift with 33's currently. The 35's I'm wanting are 35x12.50x15's.

cherokees are notorious for not having any wheel space, which is why you need so much lift to clear even 33's. most sites like rustys and such suggest at least a six incher to clear that big a tire, but you could probably get away with a smaller lift with all that trimming and some rubbing.

I run a 12.5 wide tire on a 8'' wide wheel and air down to 9 psi and I have yet to loose a bead on the tire. Now we have guys that wheel in our group that do the same with 10'' wide wheels that have issues. I am a firm believer in a narrower wheel with a wider tire.

As far as your question about fit, I am not a Cherokee guy so I am no help there.
