 i have stock cherokee wagon wheels w/34x9.50s and i can't keep them inflated. thought about beadlocks but wtf dont want to spend that on a beater. have broken them down and cleaned the beads a few times, nothing i have thought of works any ideas would be sweet esp. if they work!

Get a can of "Bead Sealer" from AZ or similar bendor. Black, goo, tar like substance. Helps in some situations. I had a Ground Hawg that the bead was torn apart and it worked OK. I know Galloway's uses it on questionable used tire mounts, or at least they have in the past.

Permatex gasket maker. Also works.

aren't those 7" rims?

I second the bead sealer stuff. it works.

also, you can make your regular wheels into bootfy fab beadlocks. just take self tapping sheetmetal screws and go through the outerlip of the wheel and into the inner lip of the tire. it's booty-licious :huggy:

ive seen ppl do that on mustangs idn if i would though

yeah, they use it sometimes on drag cars. Like I said it's cheap. I don't see why it wouldn't work. I've seen square roll cages that hold up. It's not the best in the world but if done right it'll hold.

Wheel screws are great for keeping them from spinning around the wheel, but will rip the bead all to pieces under a hard side load on the trail. I've used the bead sealer and black prematex, and in a bind one night roofing tar. the bead sealer goo is the best bet.

I appreciate all the info yall. as a newbie i was leaning to the screws thru the wheel into the tire, but became concerned about tthe side stress tires go thru on the trail, hence my post. hope to see yall out there some where. pieces
