350 TBI help

how about temp sensor should have two one for gauges, one for ecm with it being temp related. should be the one in the intake not the head, check the plug they get climbed on alot.

I hooked up my vac guage today and its showing no vac at all. Absolutely zero.

I also checked timing and it appears to be at 0deg. I'm assuming thats what the first large notch is.

Did a propane torch leak test and came up with nothing.

Now for some questions...
inside the air cleaner duct there is a flapper valve with a little brass plunger. It looks like it was designed to open all the way (bypassing the exhaust heat tube), which isn't there anyways, but it doesn't have a wire going to it. Is this right? Does it just move due to heat?

Does anyone want to come figure this thing out for me? :D

Where'd you connect the vac gauge?

IIRC, the older TBI stuff like 5BTDC, but you 'd have to put it into "bypass" to disable the ECM from constantly adjusting it while you're checking...

Never seen a wire connected to the thermal flap

hooked the vac guage to the one you have labeled Vac. Port.

I unhooked the brown/yellow wire to check timing.
