Yep, I bought the new Xbox. No problems with it yet. Just like buying anything new the 1st version always has some bugs to work out. A consumer must realize that buying v1.0 is risky. I am a big kid and I love my video games and willing to take buy the latest and greatest.

the xbox's dont have any problems, its the people not reading instructions that is causing the problems...

apparenly the 360's run hotter than any system on the market now, or in the past, and people arent taking the proper steps to fully vent that heat away
 
I'm waiting for the PS3 and the 180P televisions. Ps3 is so powerful it needs a new type of television (180P) to handle its graphics which are 3 (i think) times as powerful as the xbox360.

Hopefully released in March/April 06. =) I got mine on reserve. As well as saving for the new TV.

I had read it was only effecting 2-3% which is actually lower than the malfunction rates of the ps2 or regular xbox

The term you're looking for is 1080p. It means the video has a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, and it's progressive-scan (ie, non-interlaced).
