3D Crawler Reloaded

Rides does it again. No two rigs alike!
The whole thing is awesome, but the 3D on the rear....that's kinda like how Chip Foose personalizes his rebuilds. Talked to David this morning and he said this was not his idea, all of this come out of Rides! They have had a free hand to build, create and customize.
Great job guys!

they are maxxima .. i sell them at the shop. they have oval and round. they are stop turn tail and backup.

the pair with 4 pig tails is about $100

David doesn't get on here much so I am gonna jump in line here and give a report so to speak.
Only one issue with the 3d this weekend. Steering!
Seems that the sweet front and rear link system that Rides installed, along with the ORI's on all four corners tends to create a (in his words) a constant "Woodie" making it difficult to turn the steering wheel!

Seriously... He is very happy with how it works.

That rig just flat out works! Everywhere he pointed it, it went. At the end of the week I am sure his cheeks were hurting from that big ass grin on his face

I got to ride with David Saturday when we did a night ride..... crawled everything with out much trouble.... worked great....

Was at Davids shop today and noticed some new Bling. Thought I would share.
Built by WARRIORWELDING. This box is custom made to fit the back of 3D Krawler.
It honestly looks better than the store bought boxes. No rattle, sealed, and it fits!

Making money at fab work is something David or myself would not do well at! We are slow!
We worked most of the day Saturday making engine mounts. Engine in, engine out, engine in, engine out. ...you get the picture.
Here is a little of what we done. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics. All I had with me.
We did get them welded up and painted, just not re-installed

I didn't mention about the engine change. David pulled his 350tbi, that is going into my Jeep, and replacing it with an LS1 5.7..twice the power!

Got the engine in today and mounted. After checking clearances at full bump the LS is a inch or so wider than a SBC so moving the upper links out on the front diff and a alternator relocation is a must. The Sanderson block hugger headers fit great and should give plenty of room for exhaust routing.

Few updated pics, ECM installed and wired..all relays for ECM, Fuel Pump, Cooling fan, Starter wired and the fuel system is complete.
