3D Printer

Its cool stuff. I have an uncle thats big in the printing buisness. He was telling me about these 4 or 5yrs ago, this video is the first time I've actually seen them.
 
Dad works for Energizer and they have had one for about 5 years. It';s really cool seeing it print out a Sherik head as a prototype for a flashlight. Strader was triping out when he saw it...
 
I work at Master Workholding using Solidworks (a design software) New for this year was the option to export your 3D model into a format for 3D printing. We actually use printed plastic molds to make hard rubber jaws.

I lost the link but you can even get printed metal parts now! The drawback is tolerance. Currently its about. 010 + or - for every inch of material length. When this gets worked out, printing assembled axels will be possible!
