Are the struts on a 3rd Gen 4runner the same as would be found on a similar model Tacoma? I have a Revtek kit on my '00 4runner and bought some similar year model Tacoma struts to replace them (also with the same thickness spacer), and the Tacoma struts ended up being about an inch longer overall than my 4runner struts with the revtek spacer. Anybody have any ideas? For some reason the coils are wound more tightly on my 4runner struts. I would imagine that Taco struts would be the same so I was just seeing if anybody knew.

I ran Tacoma TRD struts w/ Tundra 4wd springs and a top plate spacer on my 4Runner. But that was to give me about 2.5-3" of lift.

I don't know what model you have but those are the ones that worked for me. IIRC you have to use 4Runner struts unless you use a different spring. There is some difference between the two models of vehicle.
