What have you guys done to fix shuttle shift on your 3rd Gen Automatic? I'm seeing on the interwebs I need to replace the governor pressure solenoid and pressure transducer. Looks like there are several options, including replacing the block with a GM unit.

Mine is a 2005 Ram 2500, 5.9 Cummins, automatic, 4x4. 186,000 miles, completely stock.

Just to follow up... I replaced the governor solenoid with the Borg Warner unit, as most of the interwebs says it is an upgrade. There are noticeable differences when you look at the two together. I also replaced the pressure transducer and adjusted the bands. Took for a drive long enough to get it up to normal operating temperature and it was much better; no shuttle shift.

I chose not to do the GM governor upgrade because it was more expensive.

To make it easier next time I change fluid, I replaced the pan with a B&M cast aluminum pan that includes a drain plug.
