3XYJ Build…Tons/42s/SUA= LOW

remember to be careful when trying to turn it over Chad. I'd search online to see how hard it'd be to prime the oil pump, or you might could pour a little Marvel's Mystery oil in the top....

I am worried about this for sure. I also dont know what all was done to the engine when It wasnt in my posession for a few years.

Fired it up tonight. Cranked on the first hit and ran like a top. Got all the gauges working by just replacing a fuse. Small fuel leak to work out and the steering needs a little tweeking but all and all it was a very productive day. Chris at MarsFab was a few phone calls away helping with tech even on a Sunday! Awesome service. Still got a bit to go but should be able to drive it soon!

For posterity's sake:

You have it looking right Chad.

Cool pic Brandon! It has come along way a few different times! I was so glad that I could buy it back from you since it was the first jeep I ever owned. I am ready for it to be done!

Battery has been bought, shock hoops ordered, and spring bushings on the way! Still need to work out brake lines for the rear 14 bolt, figure out what to do about the master cylinder with 4 wheel disc, and get the steering worked out.

Back from the dead!!! Finally had time to do something with this thing...as in drop it off at rides for them to completely finish. They will be doing a full cage, brakes, shock hoops, seat mounts, tail lights etc!!! Maybe I can talk Brandon into updating the thread as he gets things checked off the list!!!!

Scott at Rides has been putting in good work! Brake lines ran front and rear. New master cylinder installed for the 4wheel disc brakes. Line locks ran for the front and rear. Rewired fuel pump switch to factory ignition. New rear 14blt yoke. Next is the shock hoops, shocks, work the bugs out on the hydro assist, exhaust, and then the cage! Finally starting to come together!

So the rig is about 90% done at this point. Still need a rollcage and my suspension seats mounted. I also have a lot of shift lag in the AW4 that I am trying to figure out as well as the tires making it ride like sh!t...to be expected. Swapped out the 42s for 39s and it made a huge difference all around. Also, I'm only 22" to the frame on leaf springs.
More pics in a bit

The only thing I would change at this point would be sinking the cell into the floorboard and running all the lines underneath. This would provide the option of a back seat as well as greatly increase cargo space. Also, if anyone has any tips on balancing the tires with beadlocks let me know...I have 6 golf balls in each tire now and its still terrible.
