Hey guys, Im planning on selling my 4.2l to help fund its replacement. Probably gonna be a GM v8 of some sorts. Anyway, I was looking around the interwebs to find what they are going for and cant really find many. Whats a good selling price? Here are a few details that I know.

It has a reman tag on it but no details as to who did it or when
Mileage is unknown b/c PO didnt have speedo connected
Ran great when pulled. I pulled the head to get a look inside and you can still see crosshatch on cyl. walls.
Has Clifford dual plane 4bbl carb intake and dual exhaust header 3&3
red aluminum valve cover and full gasket set
complete with accessories cleaned and degreased

it would be a great engine for a restoration or maybe a stroker

I also have a TF999 that Id sell with it. Whats a good asking price?

Thanks

No help with the price but if you get a bunch of low ball offers, i would buy it for the crank. I figure a 3rd stroker crank would look good in the shop. Seriously though, find a cheap 4.0 core and build a stroker.

ive been seeing them from 250 to 650. sounds like yours is on the higher end. the one i was watching has a 4spd with it for 500.

That thought had crossed my mind, but to many factors for reliability. Don't get me wrong, I know there are alot of well built strokers, but alot of money gets sunk into them for little more power than a stock v8. Cool factor is great.

imho you may have better chance of selling off pieces. you could sell off the clifford stuff and then sell the rest as a whole to the gremlin crowd

Youre probably right.... I just hate to break stuff up. I may later but Im going to try and sell it as a whole first.

That sounds like a good asking price. Hell I may have to think about getting it...
