I need some help for a friend. He has a coolant line leaking badly on his 98 s-10 coming from the intake. I have not been able to lay my eyes on it personally. He said it comes from the intake directly under the a/c compressor and runs back behind the block and down. Anyone have an idea what this serves? and if there is a quick fix for it to get him by.
Here is a pic w/ the compressor removed:

thanks guys!

im a tech and that looks like it is more than likely the intake gasket or the t-stat housing leaking down right beside that EGR tube. he needs to leave that compressor off to the side and pressurize the coolant system and see where it is coming from. Good luck! Also check at your local napa store and get him some Bar's leak radiator stop leak and it will stop or at least slow down the leak until he gets it repaired.

Agreed on the intake but fixed the rest.

Also check at your local napa store and get him some Bar's leak radiator stop leak and it will clog the radiator several cooling passages in the block, probably FUBAR the heater core and creat all kinds of cooling problems younever expected

tough luck

i got a 97 sonoma and mine done that. i had a bad intake gasket that leaked and never could find it. that is a pretty good bit of work. intake is where i would look. have fun
