Stock carrier 4.56 will it work with 5.38s gears? Or do I need a aftermarket 4.56 carrier?

Also will lock right locker that's inside 4:10 carrier now work with 4.56 carrier?

I've read that you can run 5.38 THICK gears on a 4:10 carrier....just trying to figure put best way to do this

Its been a couple years since I ran into this so don't hold me to it but this is what I remember.

The 5.38 will not work on the 4.56 carrier. You have to run a 4.10 carrier with a thick 5.38. Last time I had to find a 4.10 carrier I had one hell of a time and they were priced like gold. The lock right should swap over into a different carrier.
So your setup would be to run a 4.10 carrier, 5.38 thick gear and your lock right

Sweet thanks! I figured that was my only option just wanted second opinion!

Alex is indeed correct........

We have plenty of the gears on the shelf.....

Andy whats the best way to go about finding a 4.10 carrier if I ever have to do so again?

Buy a 14 bolt with 4.10s and take the carrier out of it.....:flipoff2:

Sell them an ARB........

Get real cozy with someone who enjoys pulling things from the junkyard for zero to little money........and make them pull the carrier for you.

Unfortunately there is no answer to that question currently that does not involve either searching the internet, searching junkyards, pulling them from junkyards, or purchasing an axle with the correct carrier already in it........or just purchase the ARB.......
