4.88 gear 4 banger

ok i plan to put in 4.88 gears in my tj 4 banger. i dont really know how but thats never stoped me on any thing else. so. if any one has some helpfull hints i will take them. o and if any one has a set for d35 and or d30 let me know?

Buy a couple extra crush sleeves, and get an in-lb. beam type torque wrench. Measure the old shim stacks before you discard them. It is a time consuming process.

I talked to my buddy that does gearing, He said he would help you out if you need it. I told him you can owe him a favor. He is building a Cj5 and will probably need something welded up.

I could probaly do a gear change if i really wanted to but I would trust a pro like Chase long before I trusted my work. And I am anal as hell. My .02
