4-link question

I'm very new to 4 link suspension, so I was working with my new rear 4 link and it articulates well up and down. But when I lowered it equally to put the coil springs in the buckets it lowered probably about 6 inches and stopped like it was bound up. Is this normal, with there being different length links and being on different planes it makes sense that it would go into a bind at some point. I'm just checking to make sure that I'm on the right path or i may have a potential problem and need to go back to the drawing board, again as I've never worked with a triangulated 4-link before. Thanks

^what he said, it should never bind up even if your uppers and lowers are a good bit different lengths, it will just throw your pinion angle way off faster....im sure you probably have but just check to see if any of your joints are hitting brackets or anythings else, had to adjust a couple of mine to get more clearance

Thanks for the input, I have 3/4x7/8 QA1 hiem joints up top, and 1.25 Johnny Joints on bottom. It was really bugging me last night so i went down to the garage early the morning and cycled it and it moved freely. When i took the jack stands out from under the axle it went to the floor. I not sure what happened but it looks to be working now, on to the front 3 link

No, there's no driveshaft in it it's still under construction, and yes the are greasable joints and i didn't think that maybe the grease zerks were hitting as i had them turned up and may have been hitting the lower coil spring mount. I'll check that when i get home.
