ok i'm getting ready to rebuild my axles (d44, and gm14b) so i can throw em under my jeep. i plan on doing a 4 link but i'm not sure what my wheel base should be and roughly how much it should cost to have somebody do it. i can do light fab work and i'm still learning but i want it built right. any input will help thanks

So what's the stock wheelbase on a Cj 5? Just curious on far I need to stretch it

i don't know if you saw the build that MarsFab did on an early CJ-5 but if you want someone to build it I would recommend them. They do AWESOME fab/welding work and everyone i've talked to that's done business with them has been 110% happy. Chris at MarsFab built probably the coolest cj-5 i've ever seen. it was the inspiration for my new build (i liked it that much!). i like how it still looks like a jeep. Chris at MarsFab did a leaf stretch up front and a 4 link stretch in the rear.

check this build out.

yeah i saw that build thats why i ended up keepin my cj 5 i wanted to do a cj 7 but i was inspired by that build. my only thing is i want to 4 link it front and rear. hows marsfab's pricing? i know he does amazing work i've seen plenty of it on here but i'm in va i wouldnt mind driving down there i think its about 5 hours roughly from me. but i still need to rebuild the axles that are going under it and i'm waiting for my motor to get finished.

Thanks for the reference man I appreciate it.

"Baker" If you are really serious about having your suspension built and want to know what it might run you, shoot me a Pm with some specifics about what axles and type of shocks/coils you're thinking of running and I'll write you up a quote. It never hurts to ask.
