4 wheel parts problem

Here is my stand, I personally support 4wp, sometimes thier price is a little high, but I do not mind because when I am in a jam, they have went out of thier way to help me.

To be honest, I find their prices to be quite reasonable.

They matched tire rack on my BFG AT's and I got them for 131 a tire. I bought a set of Warn Rock sliders from the Raleigh store when I was on my way to Greenville. They were just about the same price as if I had ordered them online.

I didnt really get helped right away at the Raleigh store either, but I can see where one would be apprehensive to approach anyone whos browsing the store. Im sure a good amount of those people could be coming in there for the first time to buy something, without any previous research into what they are buying. That has GOT to be a PITA for the employees, to spend 2 hours explaining things to a new mall crawler.

But once I asked for help, I got it. It wasnt the greatest, but then again I knew exactly what I was looking for, and In a little hurry to get out. I bought a set of headlights there, and the employee went out and made sure they would fit.

I LOVE 4WP IN CHARLOTTE. IF YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND KNOW WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR THEYRE VERY EASY TO DEAL WITH(ESPECIALLY KYLE). I THINK THE ONLY THING I HAVENT BOUGHT FROM THEM FOR MY TJ WAS TIRES BECAUSE I HAVE A WHOLESALE DEALER AND MY CLAYTON LONG ARM BECAUSE THEY DONT SELL CLAYTON. I WILL CONTINUE TO BUY PARTS FROM KYLE AS LONG AS IM WHEELIN'.

...my only complaint: it's a little sad the store isn't as big as Walmart. :D

My experiences have been positive, and I'm happy we have a store like that in Raleigh.

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU COULD GET NEW SHOCKS,SHOES, AND AMMO ALL IN ONE STOP. BUT I GUESS ILL HAVE TO MAKE 2 STOPS FOR NOW

i've never been there but, the Bronco club i'm in had a meet and greet there and they seemed to have a good time.

I don't know if any one has ever yelded at me? how do you get yelded at? I've yelded at an intersection, but no one has ever yelded at me.(that I know of) :p
How do you yeld at an intersection? I have always yielded. :flipoff2:

Hell, I work with a bunch of "Latinos" and they refuse to acknowledge you if you do not speak Spanish to them.

Dont pay them, they will acknowledge...

Reminds me of a funny story a police buddy told.
He pulls over an SUV with 5 Hispanics in it. All have licenses/IDs so at least they are legal. But there is a half drank half gallon of Cuervo and a Bong in the car. He asks who owns them and of course, "no hable englais"

So he lines them up at the back of the SUV and walks back to the car to talk to his co worker who just arrived, back up. In a very loud voice he says, "Yeah none off them speak english, but im not letting them all go. The one with the Red shoes is going to jail if no one else"

Now none of our Mexican friends had on red shoes, but still 5 heads look straight down to see who is wearing red shoes.....

The conversation was much easier after that....

I work with a bunch of "Latinos" also but the company I work for will not hire them if they don't speaky and comprende the eengleesh. That is a good policy to have.

Even though I will say you love capital letters wayyy too much there is truth in this. All I have heard from multiple guys that shop at the Charlotte store is Kyle is the guy to talk to. Otherwise I have heard some horror stories too, I guess Kyle can't work every day.

Jumping in a little late, but I've had good experiences at the Raleigh 4WP store.
It's a "hobbyist's" shop so it's a good idea to do your homework first, and not go in there with an attitude.
Greg's a great guy and all the other guys have treated me well every time I've been in there. I've bought a lot of parts from them for the various Jeeps I support in my family, and I will continue to take my business to them.

Sure does sound like a bunch of unhappy customers, these days customer service sucks about everywhere you go, Me personally ive had a problem with 4wparts and i probably wont visit there again, you know what they say you never get a second chance at a first impression. Im not trying to bash the company just dont need the hassle when theres other places to buy.

Kyle

To chime in On what The guy up there says about 4WP in Charlotte. I only deal with Kyle and if he is not working, I wait a day. He knows his stuff, provides solid service and will match or in most cases beat anyones price. I have bought a ton of stuff from him and had him svc my trucks.

...and he is a Land Cruiser guy!

Looks like Kyle will be keeping his job

I dont know about the Raleigh store but the Charlotte store is right up the road from me and I just shop online due to their prices are no better than online (even after shipping). They are still better than Tarheel 4Wheeldrive which is expensive as balls! Good store though if you dont want to wait (and they actually have it in stock). I wanted to get a torneau cover from the store in charlotte and they had to order it, for more than it cost me to order from JC Whitney. So i just did the online thing.

Best of luck to the Raleigh store!

4wp is a great place to go if your 17 years old and want to lift your brand new truck with a 60 inch lift 24 inch wheels but if your into real 4 wheeling i've only talked to one person at one of the houston stores that knew anything at all about real rigs. i have tried several times to give them my bussines but after trying to order gears and lockers from them and had to explain to two diffrent sales clerks why i wanted a spool and a detriot instead of a limited slip and them arguing that the detriot and l/s were the same thing that i could save some money i gave up walked out and neverwent back.

Must not have been to the one in Raleigh, then.

ok my experiences with 4wps raleigh. ive always requested Matt. he is very friendly and has always gone out of his way to help me out. i was the first person to buy a 49 inch tire from that store, and he always remembers me when i come in. i try not to shop there if i can help it because of their unreasonably high prices. alot of my friends have had problems with them quoting one price then charging something much higher. i sold a friend a set of 44 inch boggers mounted on 16x12 classic locks and they tried to charge him almost 400 bucks to dismount them. so... if you can look past their rediculously high prices, and if you ask to deal with Matt, then its a good place to go. Greg is a cool guy too, i shot the shit with him one day when i was waiting to get my 49s mounted. if they would give me a reasonable price on a set of 285/75r16 BFG mud terrains, which i need badly, they will get my business again. i just cant do 1200 bucks for a set of 32.5 inch tires, plus 90 bucks to mount them, when i can get the tires anywhere else for 800 to 900 bucks with free mounting and balancing.
