does anyone know of any place in the raleigh durham area that can take a set of 44 inch boggers off of a set of mickey thompsons and remount on another set of rims. i really dont want to go to four wheel parts. they were way out of my price range. no local place will do it . anyone know of anything?? thanks!

Wingfoot in Cary will do it, but they are not cheap either.

i had 39.5 IROKS broke down off the rim for 40 bucks cuz i was in a hurry. mounted my 42's up myself. you'll break a sweat doing it yourself. just gotta decide whats worth more you're time or money

I mounted my 49's and other big tires, the big tires are way easier than a lawnmower or hand truck tire - those kick my tail every time with a tire spoon to the forearm!

If you can't get the bead to seat other ways you can resort to the following,

On the wide rims (mine were 14" wide) use a rope or strap around the center to help set the bead, air it up slowly and back the strap off. Don't throw all the air at once with a strap or rope on it 'cause it could break loose - ouch! (probably have done 20 big tires this way)
