45 + foot = pain

ALWAYS follow rule number one....:shaking:

rule 1- treat every weapon as if it were loaded
2 never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot
3 keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire
4 keep the weapon on safe until you intend to fire

how do you shoot yourself in the foot?!

I mean really....all I own is an airsoft gun. I keep it on safety until Im ready to shoot, I dont store it loaded, ammo and clip are separate...

I mean really, with a real gun, I'd be so paranoid around it, that it wouldnt touch a clip till I was 100% ready to fire, in a range.

Nah. Just dont touch the trigger till youre sure you wanna kill what youre pointing at. My personal weapon has no safety and a round stays in the chamber. I walked around in Iraq for a year with a loaded weapon.

Sh*t happens.... Gun accident's are easily preventable !!!

I saw a youtube?? video where a person held his forefinger over the end of the barrel of a really small pistol... He pulled the trigger!!

If people would only respect these rules...
It's what Ive been taught since I was like 3 years old.

I love how the photo is just his foot, sitting in his living room. No bandages, little bone showing. Just hanging out.

It's like he went to the ER and they told him to GTFO. "Go home, grow some skin, come back when we've got something to work with."

Ouch!

As far as gun safety, I have seen some experienced gun owners do some pretty stupid stuff around guns. The most common "rule breaker" is #3. I don't know why, but it is natural instict when someone holds a gun to put their finger on the trigger. I have a few glocks, and none have a true safety, so this is even more dangerous with these type of weapons.

I think you got those a little mixed up...

1)Do not point your gun at anything you don't intend to shoot.
2)Every gun is loaded until verified otherwise.
3)Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
4)Be sure of your target and what is beyond.

Seems almost like splitting hairs, but not all guns have manual safeties, as I'm sure you know.

They added a 5th in '06-"Know your target and what lies beyond"

Ahh. . . didn't read the last post. These rules, 1-5, are the current format they use in the USMC.
