tranny threw bunch of codes....2 were fluid pressure codes, gear 3 ratio incorrect, gear 4 ratio incorrect, and gear 1 ratio incorrect....customer brought me a New Solenoid Pack that mounts up on top of valve body after he did his research and said this would fix it so i looked into it and seemed to be the common culprit. I'm not a tranny guy mind you, I installed it and now it won't do anything??? before it would go in R but slowly and sluggish and wouldn't go past 1st and you could tell it was a pressure issue but now with new solenoid pack and new fluid and such, nothing? anyone have any experience with these trannys and got any advise. the install was pretty straight forward so can't see anything gone wrong but is it possible the new solenoid pack is bad or am i missing something....and does this 45 RFE tranny have a Governor pressure solenoid separate or is it part of that solenoid pack...that's the only code it's thrown now with new part just from idleing and shifting through the gears up to operating temps....it threw a po841...pressure soleniod malfunction (something like that) any help would be really appreciated. thank u very much.

did it come with a new contact plate also? did you use a new gasket (plastic screen looking thing)? on top of the valve body, there are 2 seals, about 1/4" thick, did they fall out?
where did the customer get the solenoid pack? i only use mopar solenoid packs and still have issues with those sometimes. was the connector white or black? the black connector is the old version and can't be used with a gasket from a white solenoid or vise versa.

thank you transman...New Mopar part that came with White plug, new contact plate for PRND, new gaskets....i was very very careful to make sure everything was proper (i've done jobs like this many times before, just not on this one but this was easier than others).....What do you know about the Governor Pressure Transducer? apparently is mounted on right rear of trans on the outside....and that is the code its trowing for pressure and i can def tell there's no pressure building up.... otherwise, did he just waste 367 on a whole new solenoid pack lol. (i'm glad i'm not the one who told him to replace it as i wouldn't anyways not being a trans guy). thanks for your help a lot.
today i'm gonna check wiring i guess....start simple and work way up. someone did a motor swap with new engine while back and maybe a broken wire somewhere or burnt...the fuse for 02sensors was burned out so a short would cause that i reckon?

The input and output speed sensors on the side of the tranny can cause similar codes. I've thrown similar codes that were also caused by a Sonnax line pressure device - which is just a wire that connects between the tranny line pressure connection and the stock line. Make sure he doesn't have that piggy back line plugged in.

well i got it fixed...whew...stupid grommet on the long skinny filter fell out of the housing and was stuck onto the filter itself so wasn't creating any seal for fluid pressure....:shaking:...live and learn i reckon. he installed both filters weeks ago and must not have seated that grommet all the way cause they don't just pop right out and i've always had to use a socket to tap them into the housing a bit. thank you for your help and advise guys. have a blessed weekend!

Didn't you have to reinstall the filter when you replaced the solenoid pack?
yeah. it was mistake on my end not paying much attention to the filter and how loose it went on. i knew something didn't feel right about the top where it went in but...i ignored it maybe thinking it just was like that. (i know, stupid me) but this morning i pulled the pan back off and immediately noticed that was the issue...DUH lol, silly mistake. (i guess if i worked on trannys more often i would've caught it before but learned)
