I've had a lot of little changes/rebuilds on the 4Runner and will start a full build thread soon - but wanted to show these off.

Had a semi-hybrid exo-cage built by Mike at Appalachian Offraod in Westminster, MD.

Put a cross-bar going through teh cab for added lateral support

LOL excuse the sports jacket and tie in the back seat ;-) it was a busy day

I'm not a fan of how it kills acess to the back seat, will probably cut the bar about 2" inside the cabin so it can be removed/replaced using tube clamps for the 90% of teh time it isn't really needed. Of course this leads to concerns about strength, open to ideas on that.

Oh, and yes, "new" (rusty from sitting around for years) fenders... those at ECORs DPG remember they got a little bent.

Where's there a shop in Westminster?

Ya should have had him build you a bumper while it was there. Those new fenders won't last without one.

It's a small 1-2 man deal near downtown on e George st right beside the RR tracks. I doubt you'd just stumble across it. He's one of the MD Creepers.

I'm rebuilding the bumper myself, similar to the old one, but this time with supports on the side going through (up under) the fenders tied to the cage so it won't bend in. I'm not so bothered if the fenders get bashed as long as the core body stays straight.
