4Runner Problems

Hey my buddy has a 94 4runner that is having some transmisison troubles. its a 3.0 v6 with automatic trans. motor is solid and it has 488's but seems sluggish and when it shifts gears it falls well out of the power band. it only has 33s on it. with a 3.0 and 488's and 33's it should feel like a rocketship. but it just wont get out of its own way. any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar issue that it was skipping second and going to drive. The research I did lead me to the silenoids ,but I just pulled it and installed a manual.
