I have tried just about everything. I got the car a few months ago. both the switch and key worked to roll it up or down. Then I took the top off and now neither work and I am stuck carrying a tarp to keep out the rain:mad: I know all the bolts are in a tightened I just can't figure it out. Ideas

There is a switch on the driver side rear that is the "safety" switch, if there is no bolt in that hole it will think the top is off and wont let the window go up. If you put to long of a bolt in it you probably popped the switch off its bracket and it is hanging, or worse it broke when the longer bolt pushed it through like i did to mine. You will have to pop off the side panel to look at it.

Yep, exactly what he said !!!

the switch is at the bolt at the back leg of the roll bar, drivers side. If you put the bolt back in with out the top on, you will also pop the switch apart.

The rear window can be maddening ! check the wire harness between body side and tail gate, the wires break there as well ( something to look for in the furture next time the window doesn't work ) also, if you have the " Window lock out switch " on the console, check that. I've jacked myself COUNTLESS times with that one.

not to highjack your post, but I kinda have the same issue.... i cant have the head lights on while the i have the rear window switched hooked up. PO rigged it up to toggles. would that be a ground? I dont have a bolt in the back window but can still roll the window up and down.
