4WarD fellowship: a Christian gathering in the Uwharrie NF.

Sorry if this gets wordy, but its a big idea to share in one post!
My name is Shay and I would like to introduce you all to something new that we are starting in the Uwharrie National forest. Myself, Scott Fields (UORTC) and "Nana" (El Dorado Outpost) and others have come together to form 4WarD fellowship (forward). 4WarD fellowship will be a nondenominational gathering of like minded Christian people working to create a non threatening place where people can feel safe to bring their unchurched friends and family in the hope of introducing them to our Great Friend and Savior, the Lord Jesus. We are starting off Saturday May 4th at 5pm with free hotdogs, a local band, a few speakers and hope to make lots of new friends. You are all invited to come eat some hotdogs and find out what we are all about. I can't wait to meet you!

Have you put this over on 4x4Grace.com yet? Not many of us on this side of the mountains, but there are a few.

Sweet idea. I wish I could make it. I'll keep an eye out for future events.
 
Great idea! I wish I still had something 4WD to come join you! I got rid of my Jeep not long after having kids because of the "non-family-friendly nature" some wheelers would show (mostly chatter on the CB), but this sounds like it would be a great time!
 
We are about family first. 4wd is just a drawing card. We want campers hikers cowboys kayakers. Anyone who has a heart for Jesus and the Uwharrie forest. Come on out and visit us.

You were with the wrong group I've never met a more family friendly bunch than the members on here.

This is a great idea really hope it takes off.

I agree.

And my CB has muliple channels, volume control and a power switch. ;)
 
Wow this is a blessing! I have recently changed my life. My dad is a preacher, I ran wild for a while but I found grace and Jesus changed me for the better. I finally talked my dad into coming out in the jeep with me and planned it for this Saturday. Now I see this! Even better. I'm slowly meeting the mature crowd, not the beer drinking hell raising crowd I used to run with. I want to show my dad that there is family oriented things at Uwharrie and this is perfect!
 
I am stoked to meet you and your dad. Congrats on the life change man. It's so much better on this side. Not to mention you remember the good times the next day. Lol
 
i have registered at 4x4grace but im not cleared to post yet. but the advice has been taken and ill post over there next meeting. thanks to all of you for your kind words of encouragement.
 
We had an awesome time Saturday evening. About 40 people came out and we had some great hotdogs and i really enjoyed the new friends i made. We will meet again on the 18th (1st and 3rd Sat. each month) same place and time.
 
I had a blast this past Saturday just wanted to say thanks for everything and that I really enjoyed I'd like to encourage everyone to come out for a great time of fun fellowship and food and four four wheeling
 
This will be perfect after the workday
 
Speaking if the work day. We will have hot dogs for everyone at 5ish. Come get some grub and hang out with a great group of people.
 
We will be meeting 1st and 3rd Saturday each month at 5 to start with.
