4x4 Poker Run

Hello gang,
Some of you know me and some have seen info on this already but here is the info:
There will be a 4x4 Poker Run Nov. 9-11th at URE (main day is the 10th). This event will raise money for a hotline crisis center that hopes to be operational by late fall 2008. This service will be free to the community but I need your help to make that possible. Many of your fellow rigs are volunteering their time to help out and there are over $1200 in donations for the raffle in the evening. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Top hand wins $200 and worst hand wins $50. If you want a free camping spot at group camp, I need you to register by emailing or calling me at inthehighlands02@yahoo.com or 336-200-0182 with the following info: name (per rig), how many camping, what level of rig and if you need a trail lead. I hope to see many of you there supporting this great cause.

I think the muddevils are having a rock race ,on the 10th,Just a few miles down the road.
Could be like a mini Ultimate adventure.Gonna try to do both!
 
we need more stocker class rigs to sign up.Be a good time for the newbies to come out and get a little time under their belt.

Is this Jimmy??? You're right, it's an excellent time for newbies. Trail leads are available to help, spot, and give expert tips on the trails.
 
Just kidding about the bruskys. 75$ fine for beer in a state park. Being around you Sher is intoxicating enough. We'll be there for sure.

There will be a driver's meeting at 8am Saturday morning. If you request a trail leader, that group will be leaving at 9am, otherwise leave at whatever time you want. All hands have to be turned in by 5pm. Poker hand winners will be announced at 6pm followed by the drawing and raffle. Then it's packing up and leaving Sunday after having a wonderful, satisfying weekend of wheeling, fun, and laughter :D

Not new to wheeling by any means, but I have never been to URE. Sounds like fun but I have no rock rails or winch. Arent they required?
 
No they are not required to ride Uwharrie
I am not sure about this event, but I doubt anyone would make those mods a requirement. That would be silly..IMO
 
I have heard for certain that some trails at URE require that stuff. Who knows. I am interested in going to this event. Would I need a tent or what?
 
i run a 2 inch lift stock tires locked rear and geared but no rails and no winch on a tracker was there last weekend you can run most trails except daniel and parts of rocky mountain loop with a stocker if you take it easy
 
And if you like the skinny pedal, a stock zuk can make them all.

The skinny pedal is great!! and if you don't mind a tow rope or winch hooked up to you that's great. We can set you up with a group that has one if you make sure to tell them when you register. I drove stock for 3 years at URE before I got my lift. And followed the big dogs everywhere. Tore the hell out of my skid plate too but that's easy to remedy :p

Hi Matt was good to see ya at the Zu Rodent and i might be coming up for the P run allso are you going to be there. And yes the skinny pedal will work the Rodent has done all the trails with Ole yallar but my old body wont allow me to get on the skinny pedal and beat like he can wish I could

I might try to come out and help the cause, plus I want to see how the new T-Case gears are doin :)
 
Are you guys kidding. Jeepsters will be there as well as alot of other clubs. You will have plenty of winchs to get you going and recovery equipment on hand and plenty of helpful people. Leave noone behind. Welcome to the wonderful world of wheeling.
 
ONE MORE WEEK!!!! I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself :bounce2: The last I looked at the weather is was supposed to be beautiful during the day. Cross your fingers.
 
Justin and his wife are coming and Spankey will be there also. This is going to rock girl. Got the Rubicoon back and Dennis is awsome. My air is working again and I now have hydro assist. Brian's wife had surgury she's fine now so she might come I think Brian will be there along with Neal and his normal group.
