Looking for some recommendations. I live about 5 minutes from 4WP...but my expierence with that company has been...well...lets just say im posting here to find where other shops are, lol.

Any recommendations?

What are you looking to have done? There some great shops in the area depending on your needs and how long you have to wait. MarsFab and Carolina Truggies do phenomenal work. Tarheel 4wd is also pretty good.

I'd go to Alex at Carolina truggies if your wanting gears and lockers put in.

You just mentioned using a shop, was it tarheel? There is one in concord Universal Automotive that I used for lengthening my ds after my sye and lift. Before I opted instead to buy already geared and beefier axles from a user on here they quoted me a fair price. None of that type of work is cheap though. If you can manage an axle swap or even paying a shop to do one could be another option versus dual gear purchases and setups.

I can handle it no problem. If its for the 2012 JK in your info I can have you in and out pretty quick, as we specialize in the JK's and do more of them than anyone around.

Alex

Feel free to let me know if we can help you out. We will be glad to take care of it. Axle builds are one of the things we do all the time. Feel free to give Andy a shout at the shop.

JKs are no issue, we build them weekly. Everything from gears to axle gussets, etc. Just let us know how we can help.

Tarheel would be my choice. Dont know who this Andy dude is but I would talk to Steve. Im sure whoever is there is good Tarheel ALWAYS does a quality job.

You are trolling, right?

Steve's stil, there of course. Andy is Andy z, former owner of Carolina rockshop, been at eggs for e last several years then "moved" back to Charlotte and joined the team at tar heel. He's the reason they are on this board, he's been here since day one.

You won't find a better dude, and a true hobbyist enthusiast and advocate.
