5.9 d44a axle swap

I am swaping rear axles on a 5.9 grand cherokee and it has a dana 44a with 3.73's in it. The rear end is blown. SINCE ITS A DAILY DRIVER!!. I found a 44a with 3.73's out of a 5.2 grand and ready to bolt right in. Is there any difference between axles I should know about before I do the swap. I noticed the pinion yokes are different and the 1 5/16 pinion nut was a biatch to take off and switch. Any advice or comments would be geat Thanks

I believe the a means aluminum.

did you get a new pinion nut? they are crimped and only meant to be used once

Also how did you torque the new nut down? To 230ft lbs or what?

It should just bolt right and in and you'll be good to go.
