I've been doing some research and googling in my spare time. I have a source for the harness and it's about half what Hotwire charges. I've been trying to find out what is changed in these swap harnesses. I've read that you can make a stand alone harness but have yet to find anyone posting about what is done to make one. Does anyone on here have a link to a site or a detailed write up on how to make one from your donor vehicle? I've got some time before I actually do it but thought I might could go to a pull a part and get the harness and start that process. Any help would be appreciated.

I do not have an answer to your question but I to have been thinking of a magnum swap in my wheeler and my plan it so buy one of these;

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/...0G9VUG_ANNRWfHMINzhZpsEjxrqwkoIYaAo7xEALw_wcB

And put one of these;

Holley Sniper EFI Self-Tuning Kit Holley Performance 550-511 - Pace Performance Parts

And this;

TSP-JM7613BK Mopar SB Pro Series Pro-Billet Electronic Distributor. Black Cap

on it. I believe one of the most restricting parts of the magnum motor is the factory fuel injection. It can also be done cheaper with a standalone distribitrutor and the $800 go-street 4 fitech.

Check out cherokeeforum. Not many people have done this swap in an XJ because its a whole lot of work and no better than a SBC to most. But I say go for it! Im in the starting stage of swapping an AMC 360 into my ZJ, and cant find where anyone has done it, so Im just winging it!

Best part of this is the distributor is in the front. I am ditching my full size ram in favor of a 4 door Dakota and when I do I think I am going to run a B series big block. There are a few ways to run EFI on them or propane is always easy. I like seeing the old engines in crawlers.
