]I bought this jeep 3 days before I put the lift on and painted. After I got the kit and tires it took me 5 days to accomplish everything you see here. This was the first time i have painted a car or put on a lift kit. first I started with the rough country 6in lift kit with upgraded steering stabilizer. once i got the lift in I started working on all of the problems i found which was quite a bit. I still have to work some of them out. next I moved on to the paint. Flat green base on the exterior with flat black on the wheels fenders and other trim.

Nice work, thats a pretty big shop your workin out of. What other up-grades are you planning and you said you ran into some problems after installing the lift what were they?

well the lift at my shop was not available so i had to work on the floor the entire time.It was my first time doing any suspension work like this so it was difficult for me. I broke a couple bolts so i had to do the ole welding a nut on to the bolt then welding a wrench on to the nut trick. the transfer case was giving me a problem getting it out so instead of taking it out I fabricated a 2in TC drop. I plan on taking the TC out this week sometime and installing the slip yoke eliminator kit. The next thing I plan on doing is getting a cv driveshaft and some 4.56 gears, a winch for the bumbers i make( I already fabricated the rear) I have to take the carpet out and raptor(rinoline) the inside floor boards and i need to raptor the front wheel wells to match the rears in which i have already done and i need to hit the frame aswell.

It is a flat green. Nason makes it, and it is cheap. 88 dollars and no reducer or clear coat.
If anyone wants there buggy painted let me know.

For the drive shaft give Olivers a call or you can get a front shaft from a TJ or Xj and have it shortened (This is what I did).

I lined the inside of my tub and in hindsight I would have just painted, Its really hard to clean and rough on you if you bump it. Not at bad now that its worn a little. Just my experience.

That all depends on the tire size your wanting to run and what kind of wheeling your looking at doing. The Front D30 is an ok Axle I still run it, Locked and Trussed on a 35'' Tire. The Rear D35 (Most Likely that is what you have) is junk. The easiest and most common swap is a Ford 8.8 which is what I did. The 8.8 keeps the lug pattern and width you need, its a 31 spline axle and if you get one from a 96 - 98 Explorer it will have disc brakes. Or you can look at going HP44/9 if you want to run a little larger tire.

I want to stay with the 35 in tire that i already have. Is it the d35 housing that is crap or is it the internals? If it is the internals cant i just truss it and get better shafts and locker? I dont plan on anything to to crazy after all this is a daily driver. I want to be able to take it to URE and go on every trail.

Its pretty much the whole axle, Not worth spending money on.
