5 speed ?

i was wanting to know if a 5 speed out of a 1985 cherokee 4 cylinder will bolt up to a 1987 4.0 cherokee or what would i need to do thank you

Which 5 Speed is it? If it is a Peugeot, use it as a boat anchor. This site has a lot of info of engine/tranny/tc

find a ax-15 or a nv3550, they all bolt up, you will be much happier, like was already said, the BA-10 5 speed they used in Jeeps back then are known for self destructing

No. 4 popper has an ax-5 4.0 has an ax-15 in most cases. They have different belhousing to engine patterns too.

what ghost said, a 4cyl trans will not work on a 6 cyl engine, ax-15 or nv3550 is the way to go, try to find a newer bellhousing 4 the ax-15 for an external slave cylinder, i think 93 up
