So this is a bit more booty-fabbed than most purists would like, but its for a farm and will be a lot cooler than a Gator. It took 2.5 months of work to bring it back to usable shape. I rebuilt everything from the ground up and replaced most of the body with homemade panels. It has a 307 chevy with a 4bbl on it, was swapped before I got it. Quite a fun little rig. My folks have had numerous CJs through the years and they took to it like ducks to water. Why have 150 acres and no rig to ride with? So I bought this little guy and fixed it up - because I could. :huggy::beer:

that is cool! nice work. dont downplay yourself, looks pretty good for "homemade" panels!
and yes, that is indeed much cooler than a gator by far

Sweet Jesus! Whoever put the winch in that thing is a genius. I've been trying to figure out how I was going to put one on my Dad's 3B without it sticking out (up) like a sore thumb. I now have my answer. Nice work on fixing the little beastie up!

Looks good, where did you end up getting your tires?

I got a call from Hall Tire (Greg Hall) here in Greensboro and he can get a nice muddish tire like you have for $90ish or so each mounted, etc. What size are yours? I think we are looking at 6.50x16s so just a hair larger than stock.

I have to get pix up of pops, the body is done, ready to go back on and get painted. They are rebuilding all the axles, every gasket, etc on it right now, putting it all back together.

They are studded snow tires- came on the rig, and they are tubeless and OLD. Dont know right now what the size was, but they are much bigger than stock. Almost too big, but they have good sidewall tread for chugging through plowed fields.

Greg Hall Tire 336-275-4778

6.50x16 Mud Terrain = $94.75 each mounted, etc! Closest thing to stock unless you go with the Military NDTs

6.00x16 Military NDT = $81.00 each mounted, etc. Biggest issue is I hear lost of "No Durn Traction = NDT"

Hey I have a cj-2a i need some info could you help me. I need to know where to get some parts for mine

Whatcha looking for?
shameless plug - HCORE4x4 on here is selling lots of goodies on the parts 4 sale page- he's a long time friend and I mostly went to him for advice. He has/works on lots of them.
But seriously, what parts do you need? White Owl down your way has lots of NOS stuff.

If you are wanting original stuff, there is another guy on here, Hillbilly27017 that usually has a bunch of early Willys stuff at his house / selling on ebay, etc.

http://www.kaiserwillys.com/

Also an excellent resource and 4wpw also has vintage parts, etc.
