5spd explorer?

Had a friend call me today..Ive been looking for a clean explorer to mess with and make a clean little beater dd.

He found a 96 EB 4x4 112k 4.0/5Spd clean as everything..For the 2k ball park.. No one was on the lot so he came back later and got a hold of a salesman..Only to find out it had a deposit and the guy was going to come back later today...

He said it was a 1 owner special order (5spd).

Ive been looking hard to find a really clean one..and was tickled to death to hear of a 5spd round body and in a EB.

Just a small rant about being a little late for a good deal.

Anyone ever seen a 5spd in one? I never have well never in a 4door.

I have only seen a 5spd in a 2 door, I didn't know they put a 5spd in a 4 door.

5 speed in a 4 door was a option alone with a manual transfer case but it was rare. 90% of the 5 speed Explorers were sports. I have a 4 door square body I swapped a 5 speed and manual transfer case into.

I had one several years ago. 5spd 4 door, nothing else special about it. I picked it up in trade somewhere.
